Yesterday, while standing in line waiting for my morning coffee, a familiar question was asked: “How’s your SXSW experience, and what brings you here?”
As I exchanged smiles with fellow SXSW attendee, I felt a surge of excitement (and dare I say pride) to share the story of our team of 10 from Mansfield, Ohio. We’re not just here for the latest trends or tech innovations, we’re here to gather ideas that can transform our city.

‘Mansfield Rising’ plan to get new faces & inspiration in March

MANSFIELD — Many recent improvements in downtown Mansfield can be traced to Austin, Texas.
That’s where the origins were born for ideas found in Mansfield Rising, at the annual South by Southwest Conference (SXSW) in 2018, attended by 15 local residents.

MANSFIELD — Beau Roberts didn’t find new things this year when he traveled Richland County, shooting video for a countywide branding campaign.
Instead, the editor and videographer for DRM Productions of Mansfield spent countless hours capturing familiar moments, from Shiloh to Bellville and all points in-between.

MANSFIELD — The Richland Area Chamber & Economic Development recently received the 2023 Excellence in Marketing & Communications Award from the Ohio Economic Development Association (OEDA) for the Richland Works project.
This award recognizes achievements in economic development marketing projects, covering various initiatives such as target market studies, branding, website development, direct mail, public relations, and advertising.

Richland County branding campaign seeing ‘adoption’ around the community

MANSFIELD — Sandy Messner didn’t hesitate Thursday when asked how local officials could tell if a Richland County branding campaign was performing successfully.
“Brand adoption,” said the marketing and communications director for the Richland Area Chamber & Economic Development.
“We are seeing the brand pop up on its own, unprompted. That’s been the most exciting thing.”

MANSFIELD — Cliff Mears said Tuesday that Richland County residents are getting their money’s worth in terms of economic development efforts.
